As an artist and a designer, Shell Rummel's inspired ideas often come about once she surrenders to a creative moment and lets her mind wander. Such is the case with Reverie, whose hand painted Orchid was the original Muse for this collection. While painting the dreamy watercolor petals, she envisioned pairing this design with more minimal kimono inspired textile designs that would lend themselves to creative collaboration. Her signature feminine art and Sashiko styled patterning provide a soft canvas for sewers to enhance her fabrics with their hand embroidery and stitch work embellishments.
