Summer Swag
Make the perfect picnic quilt with pops of color! Using Krista Moser's Summer Swag pattern and her 60-degree diamond ruler by Creative Grids, create this stunning quilt with easy row piecing (and no y-seams)!
In this class, you'll learn how to piece the "Swag blocks" (half-hexies) and the "Star blocks," the trick to stitching the blocks into a row, and finally piece a couple of rows together. A short demo on binding will be included as well.
Supplies
-Summer Swag pattern by Krista Moser (available in-store)
-Creative Grids 60-degree diamond ruler (available in-store)
-All fabrics needed to complete quilt top
-Sewing Machine, bobbins, machine manual
-Neutral thread and bobbins
-Long quilting ruler- 24" ruler or similar (available in-store) *Label with your name
-Rotary cutter (Olfa 45mm or 60mm) (available in-store)
-Thread snips
-Extra-fine glass-head pins (available in-store)
8-10x large gallon-sized plastic bags with zip top (for sorting)
-Best Press (available in-store) *Label with your name
Optional- your own ironing station (small iron, small ironing board or mat)
Homework:
Please have ALL prep work done prior to class. There will not be time in class to do the prep work.
