Quilting 201: Half-Square Triangles
Do Half-Square Triangles (HST's) mystify you? Are you a beginner quilter who is ready to take the next step? Learn Half-Square Triangles (HST's) in this one session class! We will walk you through sewing and trimming HST's and your quilt will be together in no time!
Supply list
-Sewing Machine, thread, bobbins & user manual
-1/4" quilting foot (if you have it) OR Seam Guide (available in-store) and Sewing Edge strips (available in-store)
-Regular sewing machine foot
-Fabric Scissors / thread snips
-Straight pins
-Rotary Cutter, we like the OLFA 45mm or 60mm with squeeze handle and safety lock
-Long Quilting Ruler (5" x 24", 6" x 24" or 6.5" x 24"); we suggest 5" x 24" O'lipfa ruler (available in-store); it has a lip edge on one end to help your cutting stay straight.
-Square quilting ruler at least 7" square (9.5" or 12.5" will work too!)
-Quilter's Wand (available in-store) OR Marking Ruler Trio (available in-store)
-your favorite fabric marking tool (we love the Sewline Trio- available in-store)
-3-Yard Quilt Favorites book (available in-store)
-Required Fabrics to complete quilt (Three 1-yard cuts of fabric. Two will be used in the triangles, one will be the border).
**Optional- Bloc Loc 6.5" or larger- available in-store, this ruler will be demonstrated in class**

Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama’s Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated:
In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund.
If you cancel 3-5 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable.
If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation.
