Serger Class 101
Seems we all have a Serger but, don't know how to use it? In this class you'll learn from the professional seamstress, Brooke Wilkerson, how to use your serger. You'll learn to thread it, set tensions and sew away.
*** This is NOT a project class. It is only about learning to thread and operate your serger. If you already know how your machine works and would like to make something, please sign up for the Basic Knit T-shirt class.
*** Also note, we will be covering manual-threading sergers with visible tension dials only, so please do not bring an "air threading" machine to this class

Supplies
Serger Sewing Machine with instruction manual and all tools and attachments.
4 spools or cones of thread for your serger. (Can be different colors.)
Long tweezers to thread your machine
scrap fabrics to practice with or purchase a fat quarter at the store.
Medium sized cutting mat, 18" x 24" to sit next to your sewing machine
Fabric Scissors
Thread Snips
Seam Ripper
Straight pins
Pen & Paper for note taking as desired.
Post-it notes for labeling projects as necessary
Zip Loc bags for carrying projects as necessary

Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama’s Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated:
In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund.
If you cancel 3-5 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable.
If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation.
