Welcome to Not Your Mama's Bag Maker Academy, a six-class series designed to build your confidence one project at a time. Each class introduces new techniques and hardware, helping you develop the skills to create beautiful, professional-quality bags you'll be proud to carry.
Learn to:
In just a few hours, you'll master measuring and piecing a bag front & back, install snaps and finishing the edges like a pro. Plus, you'll learn to create gusseted corners and complete a fully lined, ready-to-use bag. We will make the large bag in class.

1 Fat Quarter - Light fabric A for outer bag
1 Fat Quarter - Medium fabric B for outer bag
2 Fat Quarters for lining
2 Fat Quarters for inside pockets
1/3 yd dark accent fabric for outer bag and handles
5/8 yd fusible fleece or soft and stable
Thread to match your fabric.
Zig-zag foot for your sewing machine

Class prep:
Please complete all prep as there will not be time in class to prep
Cut & Label all fabric as directed on pattern CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

Spare empty bobbins
Rotary Cutter (45mm is great)
Thread
Scissors & Snips
Seam Ripper
2 Rulers (at least 6” x 12” and 5” x 24”)
Heat Resistant straight pins (longer is better)
Flower Head straight pins (heat resistant is best)
Fabric marking pen or pencil, disappearing
Clover fabric clips
Post-it notes/note pad & pen/pencil

| Requirements: | Cancellation Policy Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated: All refunds are provided in the form of store credit. In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund* in store credit. If you cancel 4 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable. If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation. *If you paid for a class via PayPal or Credit Card and later need to cancel, a 10% cancellation fee will be deducted to cover service fees charged by PayPal and the credit card processing company.
