Learn to make a practical, polished zippered bag using the Project Bags 2.0 pattern by By Annie. In this class, you’ll learn Annie’s signature techniques for working with Soft and Stable, installing zippers smoothly, and creating sturdy, professional-looking bags you’ll actually use. Great for confident beginners and beyond—expect to leave with skills (and a bag) you’ll want to make again and again. 

We will make the Jumbo bag in class (16 1/2" x 16 1/2")

Walking Foot for your specific sewing machine
Little "L" shaped bar that came with your walking foot

Matching Thread to quilt your fabrics
Seam Roller, Available here or here
Fabric marking pen/pencil/chalk to mark lines on your fabric
Long ruler (at least 5" x 18") with angle lines clearly marked

Homework:

Precut all fabrics/interfacings prior to class as noted on page 2 of pattern
Cut for Jumbo Bag only
Fuse fabric pieces as noted on cutting instructions

Sewing machine w/ electric cord & foot pedal
Sewing machine manual
Sewing machine needles
Spare empty bobbins
Rotary Cutter (45mm is great)
Thread
Snips
Seam Ripper
Small ruler (at least 6” x 12”)
Heat Resistant straight pins (longer is better)
Flower Head straight pins (heat resistant is best)
Fabric marking pen or pencil, permanent and disappearing
Post-it notes/note pad & pen/pencil
Clover clips

Requirements: Cancellation Policy - Any refunds are provided as a store credit. Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated: All refunds are provided in the form of store credit. In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund* in store credit. If you cancel 4 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable. If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation. *If you paid for a class via PayPal or Credit Card and later need to cancel, a 10% cancellation fee will be deducted to cover service fees charged by PayPal and the credit card processing company.
