Layered Portrait Technique with Leo Ransom

The instructor will teach you the technique of creating a fabric portrait using multiple layers of fabric. Fabrics will varigate from light to dark using 3 to 6 fabrics layered on top of each other. This technique creates details that you don't pick up with the Silhouette Technique. As in the Silhouette class, we will talk a little about pattern making and how to take pics of subjects for portraits. So come try your hand at creating a portraiture quilt.

Supply List:
Layered Technique

5-7 gradated fabrics from light to dark (fat quarters will work)
1 1/2 yards of Transweb, Heat N Bond Lite or Feather Lite
Small Pointed Tip Scissors (Kai N5000 series with a curved tip recommended)
Fine Point Sharpie or Ink Pen
Straight Pins (Applique, Dressmaker or Sequin Pins)
Pattern set required for class (supplied by the instructor)
Small Foam Core Board (that will accommodate an 11"x14" project)

Cancellation Policy Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated: In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund. If you cancel 4 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable. If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation.
