This is an artistic fiber class for sewists and non-sewists alike! Work on the Hip Hop collage pattern or another pattern of your choosing. We strongly suggest NOT to work on a pattern over 40". These patterns are very large and not able to be completed in two classes. Hip Hop Bunny finishes at 21" x 35 1/2"

Prepare the fabrics & florals for the collage
Learn about collage and how to build the design
How to finish the collage and apply it to the background
Discern color use to create interest and distinction
How to finish the art quilt.
For the first class please bring the following items. We will discuss the supplies needed for the 2nd class.Fabric! This is the fun part. You will need small pieces of fabric with LARGE motifs, LARGE leaves, flowers, ornaments & other motifs. Individual design elements 2 1/2" and larger are adequate. Please see the sample fabrics I used in the video. I used flowers from charm squares, layer cakes and scraps. Don't worry to get whole flowers. Half a flower works just as well as a whole flower. Look for other fun motifs like birds, hearts, candy, toys, and such. Look for motifs in different sizes and styles. For background applique look for vines, trailing leaves, palms, climbing roses, etc...
Do not bring your sewing machine. We will not be sewing at all.
*1-1/8 yd Pattern Ease with the pattern traced onto it prior to class
*Prepared florals and motifs as demonstrated in video
