Beginner Paper Piecing


Learn how to foundation paper-piece in this beginner class and make exact blocks every time!  Pick your favorite fabrics and sit down to enjoy this method of piecing a quilt top.

 




Supplies needed
Learn to Paper Piece book (available in-store)
Carol Doak Foundation Paper (available in-store)**
12" Add-a-quarter ruler (available in-store)

Fabrics to complete project ("Synergy," pg 24 of book)

Sewing Machine, thread & user manual
Rotary Cutter
Medium Quilting Ruler, suggest 6" x 12"
Fabric Scissors
Small Ironing Board to sit next to you while sewing
Small Iron to sit next to you while sewing
Note paper & pen for notes
Extra Small Wonder Clips

Straight pins, suggest flower head pins


Homework must be done PRIOR to class.
There is no time in class for printing or cutting.


**Homework: Make 36 copies of page 27 on Carol Doak paper. Carol Doak paper will easily run through your home or office printer with normal settings. There will not be time to print pages at class
Precut all fabric according to pattern instructions prior to class. There will not be time to cut fabric at class.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Not Your Mama’s Quilt Store. Due to the high number of late-notice cancellations, our cancellation policy has been updated:

  • In the case that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to class date for a FULL refund.
  • If you cancel 3-5 days prior to class, there is a 50% forfeiture fee deducted from your class fee. You may choose to transfer to another class if available, with a $20 transfer fee plus additional registration fee if applicable.
  • If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3 day cancellation.
