Advanced Bindings Class MJFielek

Master Quilter, MJ Fielek of McKinney, Texas is teaching her award winning binding techniques in this class. In this class you'll learn to make a two-colored binding, add a contrasting flange to your main binding and how to achieve that sought after thicker-binding that quilt judges are seeking.

2 1/4 yd of fabric (NOT fat quarters) in contrasting colors
Hand sewing needles and thread
Sewing Machine, thread & user manual
*Please have a full bobbin ready to go and a new needle in your machine.
Medium sized cutting mat, 18" x 24" to sit next to your sewing machine
Rotary Cutter, *with a new, sharp blade. Suggest 45mm - 60mm with safety lock
Long Quilting Ruler, 5" x 22" * Olipfa (I have this available in the store) is a brand I like because it has a lip edge on one end to help your cutting stay straight.
Medium sized ruler, 6” x 12”
Hand sewing needles & thread
Fabric Scissors
Thread Snips
Straight pins, *preferred flower head pins
Pen & Paper for note taking as desired.
Post-it notes for labeling projects as necessary
Zip Loc bags for carrying projects as necessary
